Momen Zandkarimi, an 18-year-old soldier from Sanandaj, was killed on November 2, 2022, while participating in the Woman Life Freedom protests during his leave. He was shot from behind with a pellet gun by government forces at Golshan Crossing in Sanandaj. After being shot, Momen was severely beaten, including kicks to his head and face, which resulted in severe internal bleeding. He tragically died en route to Tohid Hospital.
